You must declare! If you live in one of the areas targeted by the B.C. Speculation and Vacancy Tax, every person on the title of your home will receive a letter with instructions on making your declaration.
Regardless of whether it's your primary residence or not, and whether it's vacant, tenanted, or you live in it, each owner must make a declaration.
Everyone on title must fill out the declaration by March 31, 2019 or the tax will be applied to their portion of ownership.
