You will want to ensure you are searching in the proper price range based on the amount of money you can realistically borrow and the amount you’re comfortable paying monthly. To do so, your mortgage professional will request income statements and check your credit history. Lastly, they will lock in your interest rate for a certain period, so if rates increase, you will be protected by paying the lower rate.
