In the Spring, the city started a 2 year planning process regarding the construction of a skytrain line on the Broadway Corridor associated with a Broadway Plan.
This Broadway Plan area (from Clark Dr to Vine St) includes neighbourhoods such as Kitsilano, Fairview, Mt. Pleasant, and the False Creek Flats, and is part of a 30 year plan to incorporate a new subway line, housing (for homeowners and tenants), new commercial properties, improved parks and public spaces and various other amenities.
The approximate locations of the six potential Broadway Subway stations are marked in orange on the map below.
Since the Spring, the city has received feedback from residents and several community interest groups. As a result, the city will share this feedback at the first of three Broadway Plan open houses that will take place at Kitsilano Neighbourhood House (2305 W 7th Ave, corner Vine St) on Monday, July 15th from 3pm to 7pm.
