Vancouver Proposing Rental Licence for Airbnb and Short-term Rentals

Vancouver, BC is proposing to implement a new law to require short-term rentals, such as Airbnb, of less than 30 days require a licence.  Only homes listed as an owner's principal home will qualify.  If approved, Mayor Gregor Robertson says this could add up to 1,000 homes back into the long-term housing pool and help with the shortage of rental properties in Vancouver.

Mortgage Rate Forecast - September 2016

Below is the September issue of the Mortgage Rate Forecast. The 5-year interest rate increased 10 points briefly in the third quarter to 4.74, but fell back to 4.64. Civil Resolution Tribunal

The Civil Resolution Tribunal, CRT, is Canada's very first online dispute resolution for strata owners.  In the past, the only recourse owner's had to resolve disputes was to seek help from the property manager and the strata council, and if that failed the next step was expensive and drawn out legal action.  Therefore, disputes were often not resolved to the parties' satisfaction.
